Daugherty, Alicia Cerwick "Ali" of Minneapolis, MN, passed away peacefully at age 47 on November 13, 2019, hand in hand with her loving family. Born in Fort Dodge, IA on March 17, 1972, Ali and family moved to Burnsville, MN in 1982 where she made many lifetime friends, including the Bravettes who proudly won the 1990 state dance championship her senior year. Burnsville High School is also where she met her husband of 9 years, Patrick Daugherty. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus in 1994 with a Bachelor's Degree in International Management and a Minor in Russian. After graduating, she and Patrick welcomed a beautiful daughter, Alexa into this world. They moved to Evergreen, CO in 2000. Ali moved back to Minneapolis in 2009 where she fell in love and enjoyed many fun years with fiancé Marco Strom, including winter getaways in FL. Ali's sense of adventure and love of travel took her all over the globe; however, her true happy place was on the beach, basking in warm sunshine. Wherever she was, Ali brought joy and laughter to all with her amazing smile, quick wit and caring ways. Ali LIVED! She was proceeded in death by sister Natalie Sue Cerwick. She will be deeply missed by fiancé, Marco Strom; daughter Alexa Daugherty; parents John and Judy Cerwick; sister Michelle (John) Nielson; nieces Caitlin, Sarah and Amy Nielson; and many beloved family and friends. Join us to celebrate Ali on Sunday, December 1 at Mediterranean Cruise Café, 12500 Nicollet Ave., Burnsville, MN 3-5 PM (short program at 3:30 PM). In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to House of Charity in Minneapolis, where Ali volunteered (houseofcharity.org). Love you dearly, Ali. Until we meet again!
