Cohn, Ashley Marie Age 34 of St. Louis Park, died Friday, July 5. She was loved, admired, and respected beyond words. Her positivity, concern for others, sense of adventure, and love of donuts will not soon be forgotten. She was an entrepreneur, inspirer, and friend to all. Her fitness students, family photography subjects, and marketing clients will all remember the high quality of her work. Ashley fought her battle with cancer with great courage. She was determined to win. She did not lose, we all did. Ashley was a blessing to all that knew her. She loved people and her heart was open to all. The light she shined was compelling to all those she met. Ashley also had a great love of travel. Her photos reflect the beauty that she was able to see in the world. She had two great career passions. Her Pure Barre family had her heart. She simply loved this community and teaching its members. You could see it in her eyes when she was there. The other was her work as a lifestyle photographer. Her ability to magically capture the love that her subjects had for each other will live on forever in the images she shared. In addition to her career passions, Ashley was also a budding young philanthropist and volunteer on causes in which she cared about deeply. Most notably, she enthusiastically supported the Cancer Kids Fund, American Cancer Society and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The last 4 months have not been pleasant nor easy. Yet Ashley embraced every new day and every new person with her usual love and grace. She ended her medical visits with, "Thank you, I appreciate you". The family wants to thank the nurses and docs at Fairview Southdale Hospital and the University of MN Hospital. Especially her new best friends, Kelly and Taylor (Tae Tae). You both lightened her struggles with your love and care. Ashley is survived by her devoted mother Claudia, her loving father Mark (Beth), caring younger brother Jesse, and Lauren, her "sister" and soulmate. She also leaves behind numerous close friends, many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and coworkers. She is now reunited with those family members who moved on sooner. The reunion with her youngest brother Tyler and her cousin Jeremy had to be amazing. She leaves behind this precious gift, "Be the type of energy that no matter where you go, you always add value to the spaces and lives around you". A celebration of her remarkable life will take place on July 24, 2019 at Aria Event Center in Minneapolis from 6pm-10pm. More details about the event will be published on her Caring Bridge and Facebook pages. Please do not send flowers as she would only say "they are just going to die". Memorials can be made to The America Cancer Society or her Go Fund Me Page. Feel free to quote her on your memo line of your gift, "F^*k Cancer".
