Huerd, Geneva (Fox) 86, of Bloomington, MN, passed away Thursday evening, July 4, 2019, at Presbyterian Home of Bloomington with family by her side. Geneva was born April 5, 1933, in Little Falls, MN, to Nicholas and Marie (Ortman) Fox. The family moved to Richardton, ND, and later returned to Minnesota. On August 23, 1952, she married Glenn Huerd in St. Peter, MN. Geneva was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and a weekly volunteer at the Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration monastery in Bloomington. She enjoyed summers camping in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and many other locations, as well as spending time at the family cabin in central Minnesota. Geneva was an avid gardener and bird watcher and loved being outdoors when she wasn't playing Scrabble with her sisters. Survivors include; husband, Glenn Huerd; daughter, Marie (Robert) Neal, Bloomington, MN, & their daughters, Rachel Boehmke and Bianca Neal; son, Daniel (Liz) Huerd, of Burnsville, MN and sons, Nate and Mitch; sisters, Deborah (Bruce) Kociemba; sisters-in-law, Jan (Jim) Fox, Nancy (John) Fox; and many nieces and nephews. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frederick, John and James Fox; sisters, Mary Kay (Leonard) Pankow; Joan (Howard) Kuhn and Carol (Baer) Kellner. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 19 at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior at Washburn McReavy Dawn Valley Chapel, followed by a gathering at Summer House of Bloomington, 9850 Lyndale Avenue South, Bloomington.
