Dahlberg, Mae Kathleen Nee Nelson This treasure. This amazing, beautiful lady went home to be with Jesus Monday, July 1, 2019. We will forever remember her deep faith, her anointed piano playing, her love of intercession prayer, her spunk. We can just see her hugging Jesus now. Worshipping with all of her heart. Embracing those who are in Heaven now, ones who have gone before her. If you had the privilege of knowing her, she probably prayed for you. Even if you never met her, she quite possibly has also prayed for you. A true woman of faith. Never doubting, not a chance. She is dancing on the streets of gold this day. We love you Grandma Mae. Your heritage, all you have poured into us will live on, as you have prayed, through the generations. Mae died peacefully at Central Health Care in Le Center, MN, while daughter Mary McCracken (nee Dahlberg) and son-in-law Jim McCracken were singing one of her favorite songs, Your Steadfast Love. Mae's husband of 73 years, Melvin John William Dahlberg, also a resident at Central Health Care, was by her side. Born on March 22, 1923 in Plum City, Wisconsin to Laura and Waldemar Nelson, Mae had three siblings who all preceded her in death, Lois Edstrom (nee Nelson), James and Curtis Nelson. Mae and Mel's only child, Mary, generously poured out her love, honoring and caring for both of her parents in their later years, as they lived with her and Jim, before moving to Central Health Care in May. Mae was also lovingly surrounded by her four grandchildren and their spouses, April (Chuck) Wichterman, Marie (John) McKowen, Philip (Megan) McCracken, and Veronica McCracken; and 5 great-grandchildren Madeline, Robbie, Rose, Ian, and Clara.
