Robert W. "Bob" Johnson was 93 and died on 6/28/19.   Robert a.k.a "Gramps" passed away at home in the company of loved ones. He is now in heaven with long time love, wife Betty. He will be deeply missed, but he is now pain free and at peace. He lived with granddaughter Karen Guinn & Husband David Guinn.  Robert was able to die at home surrounded by them and grandchildren Kristin and Scott. Robert had COPD, CHF, and Kidney failure which claimed his life.  He never wanted to be in a nursing home and with the help of Hospice he was able to stay in his own room. What a wonderful group of people and outstanding resource!

Robert was a WW2 veteran 1943-1946, member of The Brick Layers Union of MN, retired from Langer Construction.

He was a wonderful husband to Betty, father to Linda Lien and Butch Johnson, grand-father to Linda's children:  Larry Prescott (already in heaven and ready to receive grandpa), Scott Prescott, Teri Prescott (already in heaven and there to hug and guide grandpa to his new peaceful journey) and twins Kristin Prescott and Karen Guinn.  Butch's children:  Bob Johnson, James Johnson, Joseph Johnson, and many great grandfathers.

Due to Gramp's wishes, we will not be having a service, but remember him in life in our own special ways.

Family will be advised of a small gathering and burial at Fort Snelling Cemetery July 9th at 1130.  Please contact Karen Guinn and she will send you a map of the staging area.
