Edmonson, Corinne (Weiss) Age 84, formerly of Le center, MN, and Walnut Creek, Ca, passed away on Dec 20th, 2018, at the Willow Creek Memory Care Facility. She is preceded in death, by her husband, Jody Edmonson and her mother and father, Frank and Cora Weiss of Le Center. Corinne and Jody were married for 30 years. Corinne was born and raised in Le Center & graduated from McKinley High school in 1952. She got her RN Education at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN, which was affiliated with the Mayo Clinic. She later received a B.S. degree in Nursing Education from Holy Names College in Oakland, CA. in 1986. She was a passionate reader and had many books going on simultaneously. She had a curious mind and loved her coffee latte's and martini's. Corinne retired from Kaiser Permanante of Oakland, CA. after 40 years, as an RN and Clinic Administrator in Orthopedics. Her passion was the history of England. Over many years, she led groups of women's tours to the British Isles. She was a true Anglophile. She is survived by two sons, Spencer, (Alecia) and 3 grandkids, Natalie, Vanessa and Mateo; and son Eric and his wife Emira, of Bosnia-Herzogovina. Also her brother Harvey Weiss, niece Julie Opheim and nephew Tim Weiss, all of Minneapolis MN. Another niece Jan Dehning and Bryan of CA. Services were held Jan. 19th, 2019, in Walnut Creek, at St. Peter's Catholic Church with many former workers and friends and family. A reception for friends and family was held at Rossmoor Senior Center, in Walnut Creek, CA. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 in Le Center, at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home at 2 p.m, followed by a reception at the Le Center American Legion Club, across from the County Court House in downtown Le Center.
