In retirement he volunteered his time and carpentry skills to Oak Grove Presbyterian Church. Phil was an avid reader with a special love of history. He was also very artistic, and his family is left with a treasure of beautiful paintings he created. We will never forget the blessing of having such a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a sweet and kind man who took great pride in serving his community. Thanks, Dad, for teaching us the "tricky parts." His family wishes to thank the caregivers at N.C. Little Hospice for their tender care of Phil during his final days. Private internment. Memorials preferred to Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, 2200 W. Old Shakopee Rd, Bloomington, MN 55431.
