Norlin, Daniel Theodore "Dan" Age 74 of Surprise, AZ (former Minnesota Resident) passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 30, 2019. He was born on 11/29/44. Preceding him in death are his parents, Carl (Ted) and Betty Norlin; his sister, Kris Norlin; and stepmother, Eunice (Grausam) Norlin. Dan grew up in Cold Spring, MN and graduated from St. Boniface High School in 1962. After high school, Dan worked for The Cold Spring Granite Company. He married Patricia Ann Anderson in July of 1965 and they had 2 beautiful daughters while Dan attended St. Cloud State University; he graduated from St. Cloud University with a BA in 1969. After college, he went on to become a Stockbroker at Merrill Lynch and other brokerages until his retirement in 2000 at the age of 55. After retirement, they moved off of Prior Lake, MN to Sun City Grand in Surprise, AZ. Dan/Danny/Dad/Papa will be remembered as a kind and gentle man with a great sense of humor. His family was his passion and he offered unconditional love to all of us who loved him. He was so proud of his wife, daughters, son-in-law & grandkids. He loved fishing Up North and spending time with his family. Dan was well known for his bargaining skills and doing things his own way! He spent his retirement years traveling, golfing, playing cards and watching FOX News along with other Stock Market Channels with his "fur babies" on his lap. Dan (Papa) will be sadly missed by his wife, Patti of 53 years; his daughters, Cindy (Gary) Hanson of Bloomington, MN and Kim Norlin of Savage, MN. He is also survived by and will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Bailey (Jakob) Searle of Phoenix, Arizona, Kenzie Hanson of Bloomington, MN, Markell Norlin of Savage, MN; brother, Steven (Diane) Norlin of Pine River, MN; sister, Becky Schlangen of Glenwood, MN and his faithful canine companions, Chin Sue and Luci, along with many, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends. A private memorial was held in Sun City Grand - Surprise, AZ and a Celebration of Life Memorial is planned this summer in Minnesota.
