Young, LaJune (née Pauly) Age 86, passed peacefully on January 16, 2019. June was born on September 27, 1932, in Chaska, Minnesota. She was a graduate of Guardian Angels Catholic High School in Chaska and medical assistance training in Minneapolis. In 1965 June and Bert, with their young children, moved to Onamia, Minnesota, where she decorated the family home, cooked splendid meals and was a loving mother who never missed an opportunity to support their activities. She served as a volunteer at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Onamia, performing multiple duties, including sewing banners, some of which are still in use today. June also served as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. Beloved wife to Albert and loving mother to 4 children, Steven (Jo-Anne), Paul (Katharine), Amy (Lisa), Ann (Tom) Lewandoski; grandmother to 11 treasured grandchildren, Jessica, Alexandra, Samantha, Dahlton, Francesca, Maxeem, Mary Beth, Zachary, Anthony Albert, Anna Sofia, Abigail June; great grandmother to 5 children, Wesley, Jackson, Zeke, Max, Colleen June; sister to Carol (Jack) Spalding, Janet (Norrie) Dahl, David (Anna), Deb, Mary Kay (Ron) Halvorson, and Tom (Bernadette); sister-in-law to Jacqueline Pauly. She was preceded in death by parents John and Dolores (née Ebert) Pauly; husband, Albert P. Young; and brothers, Kenneth Pauly and Don Pauly. June enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing bridge with friends, shopping at Daytons department store, hosting parties for family and friends, and reading. She had strong Catholic faith and was still living in her own home, cooking and entertaining visitors daily. Visitation 4-8 PM at Bertas Funeral Home in Chaska on Thursday 1/17. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 11 AM 1/18 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 218 W. 2nd St., Chaska. Burial at Guardian Angels Catholic Cemetery, Chaska.
