Aschoff, Thomas Stephen, Jr. of Mpls, MN passed away peacefully at the comfort of his home surrounded by family on December 2, 2018 in Rochester, MN. Thomas is survived by his daughter, Christina; son, Stephen and wife, Jennifer (Jennissen); and his loving wife of 52 years, Kathleen (Skomra) Aschoff. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Courtney and fiancée Andrew Vorwerk, and Nicholas and Cooper; and two great-grandchildren, Aria & Braxton Vorwerk. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas, Sr. & Lorraine (Roepke) Aschoff; brother, Terrance; and father and mother-in-law Frank and Margaret (Hartos) Skomra. He graduated vocational high school in 1964 and was a pressman for ABC Newspapers/ECM Printing for more than 35 years in Anoka, Minnesota. Tom loved his family, they would often play board games at gatherings. Music was one of his great passions and would often be heard while he was working or playing, especially the Rolling Stones. He was a loyal, dedicated, and hard worker becoming one of the best at his craft. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. There is no funeral service planned. Family members will be holding a personal memorial in celebration of Tom's life. The family would appreciate memorial contributions to be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org. A special thank you to the people at Mayo Clinic Hospice in Rochester, Minnesota for their loving care and support during his final days. The family would also like to thank The Water's at Mayowood in Rochester, Minnesota for their care, concern and support during this trying time.
