Larson, James R. "Jim" April 23, 1948 to July 2, 2018 Of Bloomington, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 70. Jim was born to Einar and Marge Larson (McMullen) on April 23, 1948. He graduated from Richfield High School in 1966. After graduation, Jim served in Vietnam as a US Marine where he earned multiple honors including a Purple Heart. Upon returning from Vietnam, he was employed by United Parcel Service for 25+ years & the NHL for 15+ years. Jim took great pride in all his accomplishments within the game of hockey, his service to our country, and most importantly his children. He is preceded in death by his parents, Einar and Marge Larson and his grandson, Tyler Senn. Jim is survived by his children, Cory (Tanner) Porisch of Kasson, MN, Samantha (Joseph) Carnevale, of Oradell, NJ and Matthew Larson of Chicago, IL; seven grandchildren, Spencer, Anthony, Lauren, Dylann, Camryn, Jaxon and Theodore. His true love, Bonnie Beane; siblings, Mary Paaverud, Jack (Sherry) Larson, Jeanne (William) Gauger, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends & loved ones. An open house celebration of Jim's life will be held at the Richfield American Legion, Tuesday, July 10 from 2:00 - 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Jim Larson Memorial Fund for donations designated by Jim.
