The Wild announced Friday that it has sent former Minnesota-Duluth defenseman Carson Soucy to the Iowa Wild and released NHL veteran Ryan Malone from his professional try out.
The moves trimmed the training camp roster to 24.
The 6-4, 212-pound Soucy had an impressive camp, considering he'd never played at the NHL level before. Malone set out from the beginning to play for Iowa and eventually in the Olympics.
