Lights, action, eagles!
Now you can catch a perch on a branch above the nest and watch as a pair of bald eagles get ready for breeding season. The Minnesota DNR's Nongame Wildlife Program recently activated its nest camera so eager eaglephiles can watch activity in the nest during daylight hours. A leg band confirms the same female is using the nest as in past years, and last year she laid her three eggs in January. Visit mndnr.gov/eaglecam to catch the action. Things are slow right now but will pick up by year's end.
