The third man charged in last year's gang-related murder of Naressa Turner was sentenced Wednesday.

Dangelo Masterjohn, 23, St. Paul, was sentenced in Ramsey County District Court to 30 days in the county workhouse with a credit toward 10 days he already served and three years of probation for one count of aiding an offender to avoid arrest. He also has to go through chemical dependency counseling as well as not have any contact with gang members. Masterjohn pleaded guilty last month.

Alleged East Side Boyz gang member Joseph Campbell, 21, was convicted in June of first- and second-degree murder for shooting Turner as she sat in a car parked in a St. Paul alley last October. He was sentenced to life in prison.

Authorities said Campbell shot Turner, who was affiliated with the Selby Siders gang, in retaliation for the murder of reputed East Side Boyz member Dominic Neeley, who was killed earlier last year. Turner, 20, was once aligned with the East Side Boyz, a witness said during Campbell's trial. Turner's former roommate testified that she spread Facebook rumors that Turner set up Neeley's murder.

Masterjohn and Cornelius Bell, 25, of Shoreview, were charged as accomplices in Turner's death. Bell pleaded guilty in July to aiding an offender, accomplice after the fact. Bell was sentenced earlier this month to 68 months in prison.
