Jerome Emerging Printmakers

Opens Friday: For decades the St. Paul-based Jerome Foundation has helped launch art careers with grants to "emerging" talents, including three aspiring printmakers featured in a new exhibition. Jerome support enabled Makenzie Flom, Sam Orosz and Amira Pualwan — whose intaglio landscape "Into the Field, Parachute Suite, C (detail)" is shown here — to work for nine months at Highpoint's studio, where they had access to professional critiques, equipment and advice. They'll talk about their new projects at the opening. (Reception 6:30-9 p.m. Fri. Free. Highpoint Center for Printmaking, 912 W. Lake St., Mpls. Show continues noon-4 p.m. Sat., 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mon.-Fri. through June 25. 612-871-1326 or highpointprintmaking.org.
