The Guthrie Theater has added a pair of matinee performances for its production of "Clybourne Park," Bruce Norris' Pulitzer Prize-winning play. The production, directed by Lisa Peterson, will have 1 p.m. matinees on July 28 and Aug. 4, its original closing date.
The show, a light drama about race relations, grounds itself in Lorraine Hansberry's "A Raisin in the Sun"; it takes a character and plot elements from the 1959 play and updates it. Peterson's production features actors, from left to right, Shá Cage, Ansa Akyea, Jim Lichtscheidl, Kathryn Meisle and Emily Gunyou Halaas.
Call the theater for tickets, 612-377-2224.
