St. Paul police have followed up on more than 50 leads in the disappearance of Kira Trevino, and continue to seek the public’s help in finding the missing woman.

Trevino, 30, was reported missing on Feb. 24. Her husband, Jeffery D. Trevino, 39, was arrested two days later and eventually charged with two counts of second-degree murder in her disappearance. Kira Trevino is still missing but presumed dead based on “copious” amounts of blood found in the couple’s Payne-Phalen home.

Tips came from across the metro and state, and investigators searched specific areas when tips provided detailed information, according to a police news release Tuesday.

Investigators also followed up on tips with vague information, the release said. One tip lead authorities to footprints that belonged to a fox trapper.

Police asked the public to keep their eyes open for any clues or evidence about Trevino’s whereabouts. Areas to keep in mind, police said, include nature centers, parks, wooded areas, ponds, industrial Dumpsters, construction sites and Dumpsters and low lying gullies that could be covered in snow.

Police are asking anyone who calls with a tip to provide, if possible: nature of the information, any pertinent locations, any pertinent times and any possible contact information for the tipster.

Anonymous tips are welcomed as well.

Kira Trevino was last seen alive leaving the Mall of America at 9:18 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21. Her car was found abandoned in the mall ramp that weekend. Police are also seeking any information about her husand’s activity between 9 p.m. Feb. 21 and 9:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22.

Kira Trevino’s car is a 2006 white four-door Chevy Cobalt with license plate number XCC-572.

Anyone with information can call police at 651-560-3277.
