Theft. Two men attempting to take $890 worth of merchandise from HobbyTown USA, 7065 10th St., dropped the items and were chased from the store.

APRIL 19

Snowmobile on open water. A deputy checked on a report of a snowmobile on thin ice in the 18000 block of Layton Court. All snowmobiles were on shore when he arrived.

WOODBURY

APRIL 12

Suspicious incident. The garage door of a residence in the 6100 block of Edgewood Avenue was reported open and a pickup truck was observed driving by multiple times at 3 a.m. The driver of the truck was identified as someone who often patrols the neighborhood overnight to deter crime. The homeowner was contacted about the door and closed it.

APRIL 17

Animal concern. Two officers attempted to remove plastic stuck around the beak of a goose in the 9900 block of Hudson Road. The goose eluded their capture and returned to a nearby pond. Even with the plastic it was still able to open its beak.

Unsafe U-turn. The driver of a vehicle in the area of Century Avenue and Upper Afton Road was given a citation for making an illegal U-turn.
