Commuters on southbound Hwy. 169 through New Hope and Brooklyn Park had the worst of it on Tuesday morning as a crash at 49th Avenue blocked the right lane for nearly an hour. The car-vs-box truck wreck left debris in the right lane and caused traffic to backup to near 77th Avenue. The wreck cleared about 8:15 a.m. and traffic is back to near freeway speeds at present.

A rollover on the ramp from northbound Cedar Avenue to northbound 35E about 6:45 a.m. led to a brief shut down of the ramp. That reopened around 7:15 a.m.

A separate crash on northbound Cedar Avenue shortly after led to a tie-up for Apple Valley drivers. Traffic came to a halt around 7:30 a.m. at 127th Street as the left lane was blocked. That wreck has long cleared and traffic back to normal.

Elsewhere early morning commuters on southbound 494 navigated around a pair of wrecks between I-94 and Bass Lake Road in Maple Grove and Plymouth. That has some residual effects on eastbound 94 from Weaver Lake Road to the Fish Lake interchange.

Commuters on other routes experienced a routine drive to work or school as dry roads and few crashes helped keep things moving.
