Two people died in separate accidents on Minnesota roads Saturday, according to the State Patrol. The driver of a 1999 Chevrolet pickup truck identified as Gerald H. Madison, 65, of Shoreview, veered into the ditch on the right side of the road shortly before 10 a.m. while heading west on County Road I near Highway 35W, according to the State Patrol.

The truck crashed into a no parking sign, then struck a guardrail, careening back into traffic.

The truck crossed the road and hit the wall of a freeway overpass before coming to a rest in the center median near the west side of 35W and County Road I.

An initial report from the State Patrol said a possible medical condition precipitated the crash.

Three hours later, a 26-year-old motorcyclist from Anoka crashed and died near Highway 252 and Humboldt. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. No other details were immediately available.
