A farmer was fatally crushed by a tire he was trying to place on a tractor on his land about 50 miles from the western edge of the Twin Cities, authorities said.
Jonathan D. Roker, 53, died early Saturday evening on his hog farm about 2 miles south of Bird Island, according to the Renville County Sheriff's Office.
Roker was declared dead at the scene, the Sheriff's Office added.
