Brooklyn Park police asked for the public’s help Thursday in looking for a vulnerable adult identified as Ida Tims, 51. Tims is a black woman, described as 5 foot, 5 inches tall, 140 pounds with short braids. She was wearing dark blue skinny jeans, a light blue tank top and sandals. Authorities said she was last seen on Tuesday, Aug. 12, around 9 a.m. She is believed to have walked away from her home on the 6300 block of Zane Avenue. Police said she had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and has shown signs of other mental illness.

They said that, if contacted, she should know her name but is unlikely to know where she is going.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
