Two killed, 3 injured in separate north Minneapolis shootings

Two people were killed and three were injured  Friday night and early Saturday morning in separate shooting incidents in north Minneapolis, a police spokesman said.

Around midnight, police said three men were shot, one fatally, at a house in the 3400 block of Dupont Av. N. in Minneapolis.

According to police, Minneapolis officers responded to a "shots fired" call around midnight. The man who died was found inside the home. Police said the other two victims were taken to North Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Later in a separate incidient, police said they responded to a call where they found a woman dead and another woman seriously injured in the 2600 block of N. 3rd St.  Police said that when they arrived around 5 a.m.,they found both women had gunshot wounds.

There have been no arrests in either incident. Minneapolis homicide investigators are working on both cases. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Minneapolis Police at 612-692-TIPS (8477).
