A 20-year-old woman was killed early Thursday when she was struck by a car while walking across University Avenue in Columbia Heights.
Police were dispatched at 1:55 a.m. to the 4400 block of University Avenue, where they found the pedestrian dead. The driver of the vehicle, a 32-year-old Fridley woman, was not injured.
Police have not identified the victim, who was from Columbia Heights, or the driver. The accident remains under investigation.
