A driver and her 85-year-old mother were killed in a collision with a semitrailer truck in southwestern Minnesota, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 11:10 a.m. Friday at Hwy. 71 and County Road 4, south of Jackson, according to the State Patrol.
Killed were motorist Norma K. Kanuch, 65, of Jackson, and her mother, Donna B. Kanuch, also of Jackson, the patrol said.
The truck driver, Dwayne A. Meyer, 56, of Spencer, Iowa, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Kanuch was heading east on County Road 4 and collided with the semi as it headed north on Hwy. 71, according to the patrol.
