Imagine if New York had a photo ID law. Do you suppose that as people in the Breezy Point area of Queens were fleeing their homes from the fire that swept over their community, they would have thought about grabbing their government ID so that they could vote in the election? This is another reason to vote "no" on Minnesota's government ID amendment, which has no place in our state Constitution. If we really need such a law, let it come from our Legislature.
