Democratic U.S. Sen. Al Franken continued the fundraising advantage he has had over Republican McFadden in the final weeks of their battle.

Franken's campaign said he has $2.18 million cash on hand. McFadden's said he had about $730,000.

Both campaigns raised significant cash in the first two weeks of October. Franken brought in more than $666,000 and McFadden hauled in $522,536.
