Andrew Peterson, director of programming for the Provincetown International Film Festival and an executive at Minneapolis production company Werc Werk Works, has been named interim executive director of the nonprofit media arts organization IFP Minnesota.
Peterson brings a long and varied film background to the position. He received his MFA in Filmmaking at New York University Graduate Film School, making several acclaimed short films that have widely screened. He produced the locally shot independent feature “World and Time Enough” and co-produced “Life During Wartime” and “Howl.” Peterson has served as director of theater operations for the Sundance Film festival and worked with the Walker Art Center, City Pages, and Minnesota Film and TV.
Peterson will move to IFP Minnesota at the beginning of September. He succeeds Jane Minton, the organization’s founding executive director.
“We’re delighted to welcome Andrew as Interim Executive Director,” said Christie Rothenberg Healey, president of IFP Minnesota’s board of directors. “He’s a great fit for the organization in this transition phase.”
IFP Minnesota is a nonprofit arts organization serving film and media artists.
