Who's the boss?

Showtime has tapped Steve Coogan to replace Philip Seymour Hoffman in "Happyish," a dark comedy series in which the late actor was to serve as executive producer and star. Coogan plays a 42-year-old man whose new bosses are half his age. Kathryn Hahn will play Coogan's wife; Rhys Ifans will be his boss.

Villainous news

Dave Bautista ("Guardians of the Galaxy") will play Hinx in "Bond 24," and Javier Bardem is in talks to play the bad guy in "Pirates of the Caribbean 5." … "Hot Tub Time Machine 2" has been delayed from Christmas Day to Feb. 20.

Kim Dickens (Lt. Boney in "Gone Girl") is headed to "House of Cards." …"Game of Thrones" actress Nathalie Emmanuel has joined "The Scorch Trials," the sequel to Fox's "The Maze Runner." … Morena Baccarin ("Homeland") will join Fox's "Gotham" as a recurring character this fall.

After the ax

After playing Lizzie Borden in a movie, Christina Ricci will star in the limited Lifetime series "Lizzie Borden: The Fall River Chronicles." It's a fictionalized look at Borden's life after she was acquitted of the murders of her father and stepmother.

Spinoffs

TNT is ordering an untitled spinoff of "Cold Justice." It will follow two prosecutors as they investigate cold cases — only for this series it'll be sex crimes, not homicides. … In the spirit of good journalism and ratings, ABC is going to follow "Shark Tank" with the new series "Beyond the Tank," which will chronicle the companies that wind up cutting a deal. No premiere date has been announced.

Viva J.Lo

Rumor has it that Jennifer Lopez will sign for a two-year Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood's Axis at $300,000 per show.

Women rule

Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass" topped the Billboard Hot 100 for a seventh week. For a record-extending seventh week, it's an all-women top five on Hot 100.
