DoApp, a local iPhone and Android app developer, said it has added Pennsylvania-based media company Times-Shamrock Communications to its Mobile Local News application. The free application allows media outlets to deliver news to users' cell phones.

Times-Shamrock Communications owns The Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal, San Antonio Current, The Scranton Times-Tribune, as well as other newspapers and radio stations in the several states.

Joe Sriver, DoApp's founder, declined to comment on the length and financial terms of the agreement with Times-Shamrock Communications.

DoApp currently has more than 125 applications for media outlets under its Mobile Local News application. The Minneapolis-based company made Mobile Local News available starting last year.
