Target's evolving clinics

2003: Opens MinuteClinics in Twin Cities Target stores. 2004: Expands MinuteClinics into Maryland.

2006: Sheds MinuteClinic (which quickly was bought by CVS Corp.) to launch Target Clinics in partnership with Medcor Inc. in May; 12 clinics open during the year in the Twin Cities.

2007: Opens 10 Target Clinics in Minnesota and Maryland.

2008: Brings operation of Target Clinics in-house in August; opens four clinics.

2009: Slow growth, two clinics open.

2010: In biggest burst since 2007, expands into two new markets this month, opening five clinics in Chicago, three in Palm Beach, Fla.
