'Light Up the Night' at the Science Museum
The Science Museum of Minnesota is going dark to celebrate the shortest days of the year. "Illumination: Light Up the Night" explores the science of light and shadows, color and phosphorescence. Guests will receive an LED flashlight with their admission, where they can use it to guide their way through darkened galleries. Activities include shadow play, lantern-making, light painting and build-your-own lightsabers. View Science Live Theatre presentations and dine on light-themed food and beverages at the Chomp Cafe and Java Lab. (5-9 p.m. today-Sat. $12.95-$18.95. 120 W. Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul. 651-221-9444.)
