NEW PRODUCTS Boston Scientific Corp., Natick, Mass., has begun enrollment in a 1,728-patient Platinum clinical trial to compare the company's Promus Element Everolimus-Eluting coronary stent to the Promus Everolimus-Eluting coronary stent. The first U.S. patient was enrolled last week in Colorado.

NEW BUSINESS Image Sensing Systems Inc., St. Paul, a developer of computer-enabled detection and traffic-control technology, has completed sale of 275 RTMS G4 radars to ISBAK, Istanbul, Turkey.

Digi-Key Corp., Thief River Falls, Minn., and Spectrum Digital Inc. have signed an agreement for distribution of Spectrum Digital's scan path emulators and target modules in the United States and Canada.

DEBT AND EQUITIES Travelers Companies Inc., St. Paul, is distributing dividends to nearly 1,200 Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) banks that participate in the ICBA/Travelers Insurance Program with SelectOne. The disbursement of $3.46 million to participating banks is based on a 10.9 percent dividend for the 2007 program year. The policyholder dividend, which applies only to property and casualty coverages, is the result of efforts by participating ICBA member banks in managing various insurance exposures in the workplace and reducing insurance claims.

Techne Corp., Minneapolis, has declared a quarterly dividend of 25 cents per share for the quarter ended Dec. 31, payable Feb. 27 to shareholders of record Feb. 13.

PERSONNEL Scholarship America, a Minneapolis-based nonprofit scholarship and educational support organization, has named Rhianna Quinn Roddy executive director of national designated funds. Quinn Roddy previously was chief marketing officer for Lighthouse International.

Carlson Companies Inc., Minnetonka, has named Jeff Balagna president and chief executive officer of Carlson Marketing Worldwide, the global marketing services agency of Carlson. Balagna had served as interim president and CEO for the last eight months.

Rimage Corp., Edina, has named Sherman Black president and chief operating officer, starting April 1. Black most recently was senior vice president, marketing and strategy, of the Core Products Business Group of Seagate Technology.
