A 65-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car while crossing a street Thursday night in Chaska.

The woman, who has not been identified, was crossing Chaska Boulevard at State Street about 5:40 p.m. when she was struck by a car, said Chaska Police Sgt. Mike Duzan. The driver stopped immediately, he said.

The T-intersection does not have a marked crosswalk or stop sign, Duzan said.

The accident is under investigation. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor, Duzan said.
