Manager of 3 salons gets statewide honor Fantastic Sams of Minnesota has recognized Farmington resident Melody Larson as manager of the year.

Larson, who began working for the Fantastic Sams in Farmington as a stylist in 2008, has since helped open and manage two additional salons in Apple Valley and Lakeville. She oversees operations for all three locations.

"Melody has played an instrumental role in the success of all three salons and is very deserving of this recognition," said Dave Zoz, who owns the three salons with his wife, Rhonda.

He noted Larson's solid business sense and technical skills as a stylist, saying she is a role model for the people who work with her.

Fantastic Sams, a nationwide salon franchise, has more than 100 salons in Minnesota employing more than 1,000 stylists.
