Morning update: Twins have offers out

The Twins are waiting to hear back from agents for several starting pitching prospects as they try to build a better rotation.

It's Day Three of the winter meetings, and I have learned that the Twins have made contract offers to several free agent pitchers.

I have confirmed that two of their targets are Joe Saunders and former Twins left-hander Francisco Liriano. The Twins have made offers to both and are waiting to hear back from them.

I'm also hearing that seven other teams are interested in Liriano.
