9 p.m. vs. Portland/Moda Center • FSN, WCCO-830 AM

Blazers are rolling, but can't catch up

Preview: The Blazers 110-95 home victory over New York on Thursday was their ninth victory in their past 12 games, but they still are chasing Denver for the West's eighth and final playoff game. They're 2 ½ games behind with 11 games left.

Because of that postponed game at Target Center, the Wolves and Blazers play three times in the next 13 days. The makeup game for the one delayed by court condensation will be played on NCAA Final Four title night, April 3 … This is the Wolves' first trip to Portland this season. They go again April 6 … The Blazers lead the season series 1-0, having won 95-89 at Target Center on New Year's Day night.

Players to watch: Blazers G Damian Lillard's 30-point night against the Knicks on Wednesday was his eighth consecutive game with 25 or more points. That ties him with backcourt mate C.J. McCollum and old-timer Geoff Petrie for the third-longest streak in franchise history. Included was a season-high 49 points against Miami on Sunday. He is averaging 31.1 points per game since the All-Star break. That's second in the league only to Russell Westbrook's 31.9 ppg.

Injuries: Wolves G Zach LaVine (ACL surgery) and F Nemanja Bjelica (foot surgery) are out for the season. Blazers F Ed Davis (left shoulder) and C Festus Ezeli (left knee) both have been out.
