A motorist in northern Wisconsin was hit by a train while trying to cross railroad tracks and died, authorities said.
The collision occurred about 9:45 a.m. Saturday northeast of Owen in Clark County, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.
The driver, George P. Louis, was an 87-year-old man from Owen, the patrol said.
The motorist was on Borglin Avenue south of Pine Road when he crossed into the path of a freight train roughly 50 miles east of Eau Claire, the patrol said.
No injuries were reported on the train.
