The body of a swimmer missing since Sunday in a western Minnesota lake was recovered from the water Wednesday, authorities said.
Martin Gonzalez Jr., 32, was out Sunday swimming from a boat with friends on Big Kandiyohi Lake when he could not be located, according to the Kandiyohi Sheriff's Office.
Search efforts were started that day for Gonzalez, of Danube, Minn. Personnel from the Sheriff's Office and a citizen search group located the body at about 6:45 a.m. Wednesday.
Gonzalez did not have on a life jacket, the Sheriff's Office said.
