No. 4 seed Hill-Murray pulled away in the second half from Annandale, and walked away with a 66-44 win in the Class 3A girls' basketball state quarterfinals.
This one was close for awhile, but then Hill-Murray went on a 21-5 run over a nine-minute span to open it up.
Both teams emptied their benches with 2:00 to go.
Junior center Bethany Doolittle had 18 points to lead the Pioneers, who will play top-seeded DeLaSalle at noon tomorrow in the state semifinals.
