Who's up Chris Weitz ("The Golden Compass"), who has been chosen to take over for director Catherine Hardwicke on the "Twilight" sequel "New Moon." By the way, Chris, shooting starts this week, and your first job is to settle a budding brouhaha over recasting the pivotal role of Jacob Black, who as played by Taylor Lautner was deemed too soft and genteel. Who's down The makers of "Delgo," whose independent labor of love nabbed only $511,920 at the box office -- the worst opening ever for a film in wide release (2,160 screens). It could have been a great story; Entrepreneur Marc Adler and his Fathom Studios began the film way back in 2001, lining up such voice talent as Jennifer Love Hewitt, Val Kilmer, Malcolm McDowell and Anne Bancroft (in her last role). But without a proper marketing budget -- or worse yet, a decent script -- the film finished in 18th place, barely ahead of "Doubt" (showing on 15 screens) and "Gran Torino" (six screens).
