Deja vu-doo

If you've watched football on TV lately, you've probably seen 200 ads for "Replicas" (rated PG-13 for thematic material, violence, disturbing images, some nudity and sexual references), which opens Friday. What we have not seen, however, is the movie itself because it was not screened in advance for critics. So pretty much everything we know about it comes from those TV spots. We know that it stars Keanu Reeves, it's sci-fi and the plot has something to do with bringing people back from the dead via clones or pods or heaven only knows what and somehow this ends up setting off a war between humans and robots. And we know that the studio marketing folks seem convinced that this will appeal to football fans. All we have to do now is decide which side to root for.
