Florida will continue to get soaked by a slow-moving storm loaded withmoisture. Over the next few days, several inches of rain will inundate much ofthe Sunshine State. The excessive rainfall will generate flooding problemswhere severe drought conditions existed mere days ago.Meanwhile, gusty winds will batter the Southeast coast with rough surf,leading to beach erosion and coastal flooding. Waves are already 8 to 12 feethigh along parts of the coast from South Carolina through central Florida. Thevery rough surf is producing dangerous rip currents. Beach-goers braving theelements are strongly urged to heed all warnings issued.
