They've turned the Beatles and Elvis into top-earning live performers in Las Vegas, and now the show-biz wizards at Cirque du Soleil are bringing another dead performer's memory out on the road: Their "Michael Jackson: The Immortal Tour" will land at Target Center on March 27, 2012. Tickets go on sale at noon Saturday for $250-$50. Pre-sale seats are also available at www.CirqueClub.com.
As with the Elvis and Beatles shows, "The Immortal Tour" is being co-produced with the family of the late singer and will feature an army of live dancers and acrobats performing alongside music and video clips of the late singer. The show's writer and director, Jamie King, choreographed some of Jackson's landmark music videos and helmed recent tours by Madonna, Celine Dion and Rihanna.
Among the florid hype for the show is a news release promising "fantastical realm where we discover Michael's inspirational Giving Tree."
