10-year-old boy fatally struck while riding bicycle in Becker

Sherburne County officials said the driver was cooperating with investigators.

Ten-year-old Harrison Kaehler of Becker, Minn., died Monday after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Becker, according to the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office.

The collision occurred at Brenda Boulevard and Edgewood Street just before 8 a.m. Monday, authorities said. The driver, Camryn Reid, 22, of Becker, remained on the scene and was cooperating with investigators.

An obituary said Harrison, the son of Paige and Nikki Kaehler, was an avid fan of Legos, cliff jumping and ribs, as well as a childhood cancer survivor.

A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. on Aug. 8 at Grace Lutheran Church in Becker, preceded by a gathering for family and friends from 1 to 4 p.m., according to the obituary.

Becker is a city of about 5,000 roughly an hour northwest of the Twin Cities.
