Win streak vs. Badgers at stake

Preview: After a 10-day hiatus, the Gophers face Wisconsin for the second time in two weeks. The Gophers (16-5, 5-3 Big Ten), who have won four of their past five games, are coming off a 77-72 victory at then-No. 20 Iowa on Jan. 21. Three days before that date, the Gophers defeated Wisconsin 90-65 at Williams Arena. The Badgers' loss to the Gophers was the 10th in a row in the rivalry and eighth consecutive overall. Since then, the Badgers (9-14, 2-8) have rebounded to win two of their past three games. On Sunday, The Badgers earned their first conference road victory in nearly three years, beating Illinois 70-61.

Players to watch: Junior G Kenisha Bell leads the Gophers in scoring (19.6 points per game) and assists (6.5 per game). G Carlie Wagner (17.8 points per game) needs 30 points to become the fifth Gophers women's player to score 2,000 career points. Badgers G Suzanne Gilreath, a sophomore from Brooklyn Park, scored a career-high 27 points in the victory over Illinois. She made seven three-pointers (tied for second most in one game in program history). G Cayla McMorris, a senior from Brooklyn Park, needs 14 points to become the 25th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.

Numbers: The Gophers have surpassed last season's victory total of 15, while the Badgers have equaled last season's victory total of nine.
