The Gophers football program received its third verbal commitment for its 2027 recruiting class Thursday, Feb. 19.

Greg Hargrow, a running back from Rosa Fort High School in Tunica, Miss., announced on X that he has chosen Minnesota.

Hargrow, 5-feet-10 and 175 pounds, rushed for 1,294 yards and 22 touchdowns as a junior in 2025. He averaged 8.7 yards per carry and also caught eight passes for 117 yards and a score.

Hargrow has yet to receive a star rating by 247Sports.com but has scholarship offers from Arkansas State, Kent State, Liberty, New Mexico State and Mississippi Valley State. Mo Ibrahim, the Gophers’ new running backs coach, recruited Hargrow while coaching Kent State’s running backs and continued the recruitment after joining coach P.J. Fleck’s staff.

Hargrow joins Wayzata four-star defensive lineman Eli Diane and San Marcos, Calif., three-star quarterback Furian Inferrera in pledging to Minnesota’s 2027 recruiting class.
