Wren Clair, the Twin Cities meteorologist who is suing KSTP-TV over alleged sexual discrimination and harassment, has left her latest employer.

Clair broke the news Friday in posts on Instagram and Facebook.

“KARE 11 and I have agreed to part ways,” she wrote. “I thank all my colleagues for their professionalism and hard work. I thank all the viewers for watching me and supporting me. I look forward to focusing more on my personal life and pursing scientific careers outside of television.”

Clair, who goes by Renee Fox in the lawsuit, had left KSTP, an ABC affiliate, in February after nearly seven years.

She joined KARE in May. At the time of the hiring, KARE’s station manager, Doug Wieder, sang her praises.

“Her expertise in weather forecasting and commitment to viewers aligns perfectly with our station’s mission,” Weider said.

Wieder declined to comment Friday about the separation.

The lawsuit against KSTP details a wide range of mistreatment, alleging that Clair faced “severe, overtly sexist conduct by her coworkers and superiors.” The conduct reportedly involved sexist remarks and harassment, rude and aggressive behavior, sabotage and retaliation. It also detailed an assault while reporting from the Minnesota State Fair in 2023.

KSTP has denied the allegations and said Clair was fired for poor performance, despite never having received any formal disciplinary action.

According to unnamed sources at KARE, Clair’s contract was vacated. She no longer has access to the building.

Clair has a meteorology degree from Mississippi State University, degrees in chemistry and anthropology from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in environmental science and policy from Johns Hopkins University.
