Wings Financial firms up plans for four new branches

August 23, 2014 at 4:33AM

Wings Financial Credit Union, Minnesota's largest credit union, said it will open four new branches over the next few months, bringing its total to 15 in the Twin Cities.

New branches in Blaine, Eden Prairie and Woodbury will open by the end of the year. Another in Savage will open in the first quarter of next year, the firm said.

The firm will add 30 jobs across the four locations, it said.

For the Eden Prairie and Blaine locations, Wings is remodeling spaces in existing buildings.

It is building from scratch in Woodbury and Savage and will use a design concept that has become a visual trademark for the firm: a high, curved-metal roof that looks like an aircraft hangar. Both locations will have multiple drive-through lanes.
