Two people died in a rural house fire in northern Minnesota early Wednesday morning.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported that a 911 call came in at 2:43 a.m. about a house fire on Shady Lane NE. in Outing, Minn.
The house, located about 40 miles north of Brainerd, was engulfed in flames when first responders arrived and found the remains of two people inside. Their identities have not yet been released.
Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting autopsies. The investigation into the blaze is ongoing with the assistance of the Crooked Lake Fire Department, the Minnesota State Fire Marshall’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
